If i wanted a 9 day insurance policy to travel – 9 days only – then this is what it would cost, apparently:
Grounded in the UK.
on the other hand it makes hiring a private jet start to look quite cost effective.
Of course, insurance is not compulsory (unless you’re booking a package deal). Probably best to avoid anywhere where medical expenses could be huge (eg USA), but countries where reciprocal health arrangements exist would lessen the risk (Europe, Australia).
At least while you’re blood’s being thinned the chances of DVT are reduced!
